Raymond Leslie Grubb

Raymond Leslie Grubb, Husband, Father, and Grandfather, 79, of Raceland, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Russell, KY with his loving family by his side.

Raymond was born November 18, 1944, in Wurtland, KY, to the late George Leslie and Kathleen “Birdie” Grubb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Patricia Ann Bailey Grubb.

Raymond retired from C & O Railroad as a conductor. He was a licensed electrician and taught many classes at the vocational school. He was also a highly skilled woodworker. He built multiple homes, as well as furniture. He also enjoyed riding his dune buggy, reading, photography, and spending time with his family and friends. He attended First Pentecostal Church in Flatwoods, KY, and had attended Bridges Christian Church in Russell, KY, in the past.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Kalie Ailene Grubb of Raceland, KY; two sons, Tony D. (Penny) Grubb of Ashland, KY, and Kevin Leslie Grubb of Flatwoods, KY; one stepson, Wesley Cope of Ashland, KY; one stepdaughter, Lorie Jane Cope of Flatwoods, KY; four grandchildren, Alex (Dru) Knight of Raceland, KY, Bryant Cathy of Covington, KY, Zachary Grubb of Covington, KY, and Bailey Grubb of Ashland, KY; two brothers, Ronald Grubb of Flatwoods, KY and Mark Grubb of Wurtland, KY; four sisters, Carria (Larry) Morris of Wurtland, KY, Loretta (Steve) Bryant of Wurtland, KY, Darlene Lute of Flatwoods, KY, Alisa (Herb) Stepp of Wurtland, KY; and a host of extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on August 14, 2024, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Pastor Shane Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 A.M. to noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
