Richard Allen Wheeler

Richard Allen Wheeler, 59, of Ashland, KY passed away at Community Hospice Thursday, April 28, 2016. He was born November 27, 1956 in Boyd County to the late Allen Henderson Wheeler and the late Marlene Hignite Ettinger. Richard graduated from the Marine Corps and built Power Plants for AT&T. He belonged to the Ashland Moose Lodge 892. Richard leaves behind his loving wife Julie Ann Wheeler; sisters Susie (Terry) Hensley and Brenda (Paul) Rogers; step-children Raychel and Preston Stilgenbauer; very special friends Jim and Kate Cunningham; special nephews and niece Trent Wheeler, Leonard (Gina) Goble, and Rachael Lucas; and a host of other friends and family, including his loving mother-in-law Mattie Louise Points and her boyfriend Bob Musser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Paul Anthony and Keith Edward Wheeler. The family is being served by Bailey Family Funeral Home 2110 Argillite Road, Flatwoods where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until time of service.
