Richard Joseph Arthur Andre

Richard Joseph Arthur Andre, 63, of Ashland, KY, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wurtland, KY, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Andre was born on December 11, 1960, in Abingdon, England, to the late Cecil Richard and June Elizabeth Walter Andre.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Andre was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lesa Andre, and a brother, Robert Lee Andre.

Richard worked on a bridge crew for C & O Railroad for ten years and was a sandblaster and painter for McGinnis in Coal Grove, OH. He was also a Lineman for several years. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Richard is survived by two brothers, Rodney Charles (Jeri) Andre of Flatwoods, KY, and Raymond David (Mina) Andre of Paintsville, KY; his sister, Renee Elizabeth Andre (Clay) Walters of Catlettsburg, KY; several nieces and nephews: Cheyenne (Wade) Griffith and their son Tucker, Robin Andre, Shane Black and his son Ryland, Bobby Andre, Steven Harris, Joey Harris, Tyler Andre, Kaylie Andre, Ashlyn Andre; and a host of extended family and friends.

There are no services scheduled at this time. 

The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with the arrangements.
