Richard David Kazee, 61, of Flatwoods, KY passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Kazee was born February 2, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland to Arbutus Akers Kazee and the late Elmer Kazee Jr.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Ray Kazee. Mr. Kazee was an electrician with I.B.E.W. and attended the South Point Church of God.  He loved his family and brought joy to everyone he was around.  He was always there to lend a hand and help someone.  Anyone who knew him knew his love of music.  He has played with many musicians over the years, one of his favorites, who he will be joining in Heaven, Sarah Mays. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and trading knives. In addition to his mother, Arbutus, he is also survived by a daughter, Chasidy Dionne (Sam) Watkins of Ashland, KY; a son, Gabe David (Jennifer) Kazee of Hodgenville, KY; five grandchildren:  Emily Grace Watkins, Elijah Richard Watkins, Benjamin Joshua Watkins, Morgan Elizabeth Kazee, and Kaleb David Kazee; a brother, Drew (Peggy) Kazee of Russell, KY; a sister, Deanna Kazee of Raceland, KY; three nephews: Mark Kazee, Joshua Francis, and Aaron Francis; a niece, Andrea Carver. The funeral will be at 1 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Elder Roy Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow in Kirby Flatts Cemetery. The visitation will be from 11 AM until service time.
