Rita Eileen Wilburn Salyers

Rita Eileen Wilburn Salyers, 67, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Ms. Salyers was born December 6, 1949 in Greenup, KY. A daughter of the late Chester and Lillian Burgess Wilburn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Ms. Salyers was an employee of Kroger in Russell, KY for 28 years and attended Temple Baptist Church in Flatwoods, KY. She loved decorating, working in flowers, crocheting, and crafts. Ms. Salyers is survived by one son, Aaron Lee Salyers of Flatwoods, KY; one daughter, Drema Grubb of Raceland, KY; one sister, Charlene Glandon of Muncy, IN; her fiancée, Jack Fannin, and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Alfred Moore Jr. and Rev. Ronald Cordle officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
