Robert Bob Eugene Hardy

Robert “Bob” Eugene Hardy, 81, of Ashland, KY passed away at his residence, on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Mr. Hardy was born on October 4, 1934 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late John and Lena Hart Hardy.  He was also preceded by four brothers: Charles, Kenny, John Ellis, and Gary Hardy; two sisters: Barbara Blanton and Soni Hardy; and a step-son, Kevin Oney. He was a boilermaker with the Teamster Local 505 in Huntington, WV, operated Hardy’s Small Engine Repair, and drove a truck for 17 years for Ashland Oil. Mr. Hardy is survived by his companion of 19 years, Joann Cordle Oney; his son, Scott Robert (Brittany) Hardy of Ashland, KY; two step-daughters, Brenda Oney of Lexington, KY and Connie Oney of Ashland, KY ; a step-son, Mark (Tara) Oney of Ashland, KY; four half brothers: Bill (Pat) Hardy of Springfield, OH, Jim (Toni) Hardy of Gallaway, OH, Merle (Linda) Hardy of Orient, OH, and Dave Hardy of Columbus, OH; three half-sisters: Linda (Bill) Charles of West Jefferson, OH, Janet Coleman of Grove City, OH, and Judy (John) of Young of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 12 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Minister Mark McKinney officiating.  Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY.
