Rocky Ogden Risner

Rocky Ogden Risner, 69, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Mr. Risner was born on April 4, 1947 in Lexington, KY; a son of the late James and Hazel Clevenger Crum.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Christie  Roxanne Risner, and his sister, Pam Sipps. Mr. Risner was an United States Army Veteran, and a retired crane operator with Kentucky Electric Steel. Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Bayless Risner, three sons: Paul (Sue) Bellamy of Cabell County, WV, Rocky A. Risner of Flatwoods, KY, and Dakota Risner of Greenup, KY; a daughter, Kimberly D. Risner of Ironton, OH; five grandchildren: Tony Bellamy, Amy Rice, Daryl Abrams, Amber Nicole Abrams, Ronnie Norman; 8 great grandchildren: Sophia Bellamy, Hannah Brook Flowers, Marcus Bellamy, Braden Elder, Reign Hardy, Cameron Norman, Nathaniel Norman, Amia Blevins; a brother, Pastor James "Butch" (Sheri) Crum of Flatwoods, KY; a sister, Deborah Kazee of Ironville, KY; and a host extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Lloyd L. Bailey officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County, KY.
