Roy Zornes

Roy Zornes, 85, of Worthington, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Mr. Zornes was born December 9, 1934, in Olive Hill, KY, to the late Lenard and Hazel Kegley Zornes. In addition to his parents, Mr. Zornes was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Opal Zornes; three brothers: Troy (his twin), Blackie, and Kenny Zornes; and a sister, Betty Robinson. Mr. Zornes was a retired painter for F-CO Paint Company in Chicago, IL. Mr. Zornes is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Mahan of Georgetown, KY; a step-son, Jerry (Celeste) Church of Lusby, MD; two grand-daughters, Jessie (Joshua) Miller and Alexis Frisby, one great-grandson, Jaxon Miller; two step-granddaughters, Taylor and Hailey Church; one step-great-grandson, Aiden Church; one brother, Gary Zornes of Catherdal City, CA; four sisters, Jewell Webb of Flatwoods, KY, Pauline Dartey of Ashland, KY, Lorraine Wellman of Flatwoods, KY, and Janet Taylor of Plano, TX; special friends and caretakers, James “Crow”, Curta, and MaKayla Niece; and a host of extended family and friends. There will be a graveside service at 1 P.M. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY with Rev. Charles Langdon officiating.   The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with the arrangements.
