Russell Edward Keeton

Russell Edward Keeton, 77, of Ashland, KY went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, KY. Mr. Keeton was born on September 2, 1937 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late John Bryant, and the late Mary Church Keeton Fife. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Harold Keeton, and two sisters: Willa Mae Mays and Frances Keeton. Mr. Keeton was a Master Plumber and owner of Keeton Plumbing.  He attended the Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods, KY.  He enjoyed working in flowers with Shirley, his wife.  He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and his trips to the Smoky Mountains.  Mr. Keeton’s main focus was spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Mr. Keeton is survived by his loving wife of fifty six years, Shirley Jacobs Keeton.  He is also survived by six children:  Teresa Hampton of Ashland, KY, Russell E. (Donetta) Keeton JR. of Vanceburg, KY, Patricia (Sam) Akers of Medway, OH, Rebecca (John) Cordle of Ashland, KY, Aaron E. (Benni) Keeton of Ashland, KY, Malissa (Earl) Dishman of Huntington, WV; seventeen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; a brother, John (Joetta) Keeton of South Point, OH, a sister, Dorothy Morris of Columbus, OH; and a host of extended family and friends. The funeral will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Lloyd L. Bailey and Rev. J.E. Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, KY.
