Samantha Louise Burke Porter

Samantha Louise Burke Porter, 83, of Wurtland, KY, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg, OH. Mrs. Porter was born September 15, 1937, in Ashland, KY to the late Hillman and Nolda Mae Jordan Burke. In addition to her parents, Samantha was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Stephen Porter and a sister, Garnet Hughes. Mrs. Porter was a homemaker and attended the Community Tabernacle in Raceland, KY. Samantha is survived by a son, Tim (Susie) Porter of Boyd, KY; a daughter, LaBreeska (Jesse) Adams of Wurtland, KY; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jamie Shaw of Walton, KY; two sisters, Ruby Short of De Graff, OH and Janet Barker Flatwoods, KY; and a host of extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, March 8, 2021, at Rosehill Burial Park Chapel in Ashland, KY with Rev. Rick Evans officiating.   The family has entrusted Bailey Family Funeral Home of Flatwoods, KY with the arrangements.
