Sherry Jean Rowland Watkins

Sherry Jean Rowland Watkins, 57, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the University of Louisville Health – Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Sherry was born on December 26, 1965, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Robert and Fannie Lyons Rowland. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Rowland and her sister, Rita Carroll. Sherry was a homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors, nature, and walking her dog, Nelly, whom she loved dearly. She was of the Baptist faith. Sherry is survived by her two sons, Robert Rowland of Worthington, KY and Gary Watkins of Flatwoods, KY; two daughters, Paula (Austin) Baker of Louisville, KY and Christina Watkins of Ashland, KY; ten grandchildren: Jordan Watkins, Elijah Watkins, Alexis Baker, Sherry Parsons, Abrielle Watkins, Kylie Watkins, Harlee Watkins, Robert “RJ” Rowland, Lillie Short, and Colin Rowe; a brother, Jerry (Tami) Rowland; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Bro. Ray Church officiating.
