Stanley Alan Cassity

Stanley Alan Cassity, 66, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 1, 1950 in Ashland, KY, the son of the late Glen and Pauline Tackett Cassity. Mr. Cassity was an employee of the Bureau of Federal Prisons in Summit, KY. He loved to hunt and play golf with his family and close friends. Mr. Cassity enjoyed family time at the house or at the beach. He was of the Baptist Faith and a 1968 graduate of Russell High School in Russell, KY. Mr. Cassity is survived by his loving wife, Kay Williams Cassity; four children; Christa Campbell, and her husband, Scott of Flatwoods, KY, Phillip Cassity, and his wife, Abbe of Russell, KY, Joshua Cassity, and his wife, Jenni of Ironton, OH, and Ashley Cole, and her husband, Trevor of Flatwoods, KY; one sister; Jetta Cassity of Flatwoods, KY; nine grandchildren: Gabrielle (Luke Bailey) Cassity, Gunner Cassity, Blake (Allie Byrd) Campbell, Peyton Campbell, Ashton Campbell, Savanna Cassity, Hailey Cassity, Lexie Lawson, and Ashton Lawson; one great grandson; Henry Campbell and several aunts and uncles that were close to him. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Garden in Flatwoods, KY. Visitation will be after 11 AM on Tuesday.   Condolences can be expressed at baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com.
