Thelma Lucille Caudill Bailey, 92, of Flatwoods, KY passed quietly among friends and family on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Trinity Station Retirement Community in Flatwoods, KY. Mrs. Bailey was born on July 13, 1922 in Flatwoods, KY, a daughter of the late Orville and Ida Mae McKenzie Caudill.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of over sixty eight years, Howard Bailey; a son, Howard Michael Bailey, and two sisters: Loretta Bailey and Opal Keaton. Mrs. Bailey was firstly, a mother to five children and the bookkeeper for Howard Bailey Construction.  The most challenging part of the bookkeeping job was keeping Howard and the “Boys” in line.  This is where she used her education from Ashland Business College.  Her only weakness was the love of Cadillac cars.  She was a member of Faith Christian Assembly in Flatwoods, KY, where she taught the children’s class for Sunday school and was secretary for the church for many years. Mrs. Bailey is survived by three sons:  J.P. and his wife, Nancy Bailey of Flatwoods, KY, Dwight and his wife, Cathy Bailey, also of Flatwoods, KY, and Mark and his wife, Alexis Bailey of Norfolk, VA; a daughter, Sheila and her husband, William Deborde of Flatwoods, KY; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Bailey of South Charleston, OH, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; a step-mother, Mary Ann "Peggy" Caudill of Russell, KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral will be at 1 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Faith Christian Assembly in Flatwoods, KY, with Rev. Brent Bailey, Rev. Don Adkins, and Pastor Tim Osborne officiating. A private committal service will be performed at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY by Rev. Jonathan L. Bailey. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY. In addition to flowers donations may be made to Trinity Station Retirement Community Activity Fund 2121 Argillite Road Flatwoods, KY 41139.
