Thomas A. Hale, 83, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, at his home.Mr. Hale was born July 29, 1934, in Huntington, WV, to the late James Albert and Ada Margaret Walker Hale.In addition to his parents, Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jane Chapman Hale; one daughter, Diana Hale Johnson; two brothers, John and Bill Hale, and one sister, Betty Hale.Mr. Hale was a Physical Therapist Assistant at the VA Hospital in Huntington, WV and was a U.S. Airforce Veteran. Thomas loved to bird watch and play dominos with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and reading his bible. He was also very patriotic. Thomas was a member and Sunday school teacher at Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods, KY.Mr. Hale is survived by his four loving children; by one son, James William (Catherine) Hale of Flatwoods, KY; three daughters, Rose Marie Hale (Keith) Harris of Westwood, KY; Deborah Hale Vanover and Lea Ann Hale Lawson both of Flatwoods, KY; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Ann Hale Smith of Greenup, KY and Mary Hale Cordle of Flatwoods, KY, and a host of extended family and friends.Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods, KY with Rev. Lloyd L. Bailey and Rev. J.E. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY.Condolences can be expressed at baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com.
