Wanda Nell Gwinn

Wanda Nell Gwinn, 96, of Winchester, KY, formerly of Raceland, KY, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester. Mrs. Gwinn was born on August 11, 1924, in Flatwoods, KY, daughter of the late Oscar and Stella Anderson Sowards.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Wesley Gwinn, Sr.; a son, Michael Paul Gwinn, and four siblings. Wanda was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Raceland, KY.  She had retired from C&O Railway as a clerk at D.D. Fitzgeralds. Mrs. Gwinn is survived by two sons: Alfred W. (Joyce) Gwinn, Jr. of Winchester, KY and Danny (Vicki) Gwinn of Greenwood, SC; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Norma Clark of Flatwoods, KY and Donna Jeddie of Detroit, MI; and a host of extended family and friends. The family has arranged a graveside service with Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY and will be held at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Russell, KY on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 1 PM.
