Willie David Tackett

Willie David Tackett, 60, of Flatwoods, KY passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, KY.   Mr. Tackett was born on November 9, 1956 in Russell, KY; a son of the late Virgil Ray and Barbara Ann Hensley Tackett.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edsel Ray Tackett, and a sister, Kimberly Kay Tackett Coburn.   He was a coal miner with Addington Coal Company and attended Culp Creek Community Church in Argillite, KY.  Willie loved going to church and fishing.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.   Mr. Tackett is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shanda Kees Tackett; a son, Waylon Tackett and his fiancé, Youlanda Lee, of Ashland, KY; a daughter, Katie Tackett of Flatwoods, KY; four grandchildren: Holly, Lola, Ella, and Kaylee; a brother, Lonnie Joe (Marvina) Tackett of Flatwoods, KY; a sister, Cathy Lee (Ryan) Tackett of Raceland, KY, and a host of extended family and friends.   A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup County, KY.   Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY has been entrusted with arrangements.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.  Condolences may be expressed at www.baileyfamilyfuneralhome.com.
